Fortunate British Soldiers Rationed Beef Jerky

The brave British soldiers on the front lines in Afghanistan just received an upgrade in their 12-hour ration packs. Our claims of beef jerky being a lightweight, nutritious, and of course delicious snacking option for those on the go are finally being substantiated.

From the Press Association:

“Private Ryan Salmon, from 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment, welcomed the new menus.

He said: ‘The new 12-hour ration packs are a great change from the normal rations. It contains beef jerky and a sandwich which are great for a quick meal. ‘”

It’s probably not SlantShack (because if it is, someone should have told us – as well as customs, since we can’t yet ship abroad!), but I’m sure there is equally good jerky on the other side of the pond. For now, I hope these Brits enjoy their upgraded snacking options and use them to fuel successful future missions.
