This Year's Winner of the SSJ Jerky Recipe Contest is...

!!! Mr. Fred Raphael, you who graced us with the first ever foray into a realm we never dared conceive in front of the public: Breakfast Jerky. Feast your eyes on this heavenly concoction:

The Jerky Omelette:


  • 3 eggs
  • Scallions or green onion
  • Slantshack jerky( variety of your choice)
  • Cheese -- Cheddar or Fontina
  • Mushrooms
  • Salt and pepper
  • Butter


1) Saute Mushrooms and Jerky in butter
2) Add eggs
3) Cook till eggs are firm
4) Flip and add cheese and scallions
5) Sit on couch and watch reruns of Family Matters

Even though jerky loses every bit of jerkiness when rehydrated, we're fine with it as long as it's done with butter. And therefore, Fred, I am proud to announce that you have been officially immortalized in the SlantShack Recipe Book.
